Get active in the StuVe!
With their work in very different roles many of your fellow students in the students‘ union make sure that learning and living at our University Ulm is getting better, more interesting or more entertaining.
In the boards students represent theirselves and work on current problems or bigger prospective topics. We thus can influence the general conditions at the University Ulm and beyond. Parts of the boards are directly elected by all students. Next to that, there are also other ways to get involved without a mandate – for example in Students‘ Parliament (StuPa), Council of the Students Associations (FSR), Chief Executives Committee (StEx) or one of the different units or in of the twelve Students Associations (Fachbereichsvertretungen).
The executives of the units ensure with their work, their events and activities as well as consultation times that life at the University is more than just writing exams and attending seminars. Some of the executives also get partially rewarded on regular bases.

If you would like to get involved, please contact your association (Fachbereichsvertretung) or the Chief Executives Committee (StEx) – we will help you and answer your questions.
If you would like to run for the elections, which take place in the summer semester, you can also contact your student council or the StEx. More information can be found here.
On the subpage “Jobs“ you can find descriptions of the various units. Have a look! Further down on this page you will find details about the employment relationship. Are you interested in working in a unit? It doesn’t matter if you like to join an existing unit or if you like to establish a new unit – we are looking forward to welcome you and your application (see right margin).
Application
We kindly ask you to send your application via e-mail to our Human Resources Department (stuve.personal(at)uni-ulm.de) in order to treat your data confidentally.
A short cover letter in your e-mail is sufficcient. Just write us who you are, whether you already have experience in the respective field (but it is not compulsory), your motivation and other things you like to mention. If you apply for one of the units, we additionally need your CV.
Payment & Employment
…depends on the task. You can find all information e. g. size of the team and regular working hours in the descriptions. But usually there is also individual scope left. In principal, there is the possibility either to get paid in every unit (employment contract with rights and duties) or to get involved on a voluntary basis.
The payment is usually made according to the conditions of the collective agreement for the public services (TV-L). If you get paid you can expect a basic hourly rate of approx. 10,32 € (as of 2014). Furthermore, the descriptions indicate an averagenumber of hours per week. If the tasks allow you to take a longer holiday during the semester break it it regularly fine. However the average working hours have to be fulfilled over a longer time period.
