Festival contre le racisme
The FCLR (Festival contre le racisme Ulm / Neu-Ulm) introduces itself:
We are a primarily anti-racist activist group in Ulm, but we understand and see discrimination working together intersectionally and try to implement that in our activism. The fclr is co-created by white people who do not experience racism and people who do. We are students, but we are also wage workers, and we are engaged against our racist socialization and for thinking and acting more critical of racism in Ulm (and at best beyond). The fclr has now existed for a proud 7 years and lives from the people who help to shape it.
So far, we have done most of our events in the summer, in the form of anti-racist action weeks (lasting about two weeks). We are happy to tell you that again this year there will be events from fclr.
Outside of most events in the period (films, workshops, lectures, city tours, exhibitions ...), we meet every two weeks on Tuesday at 7:30 pm for the regular plenary. There we discuss ideas, wishes, events, and whatever else comes together. If we don't organize a plenum or an event, we like to go on an excursion, e.g. we went to Stuttgart to an exhibition opening on February 19, the anniversary of the right-wing extremist attack in Hanau 2020. Otherwise, we are very well connected with other local initiatives and are always interested in what is going on politically in the city. The first meeting will be on November 2, at 7 pm at the Anarres.
To prepare for our action weeks, we will once again be hosting the popular Klangkost Fest on the southern Münsterplatz. There, other local initiatives will present themselves that are working against discrimination and for social justice. To make sure it's getting good, there will always be something to eat and music.
We can apply for funds from the StuVe and the city's Equity and Diversity Department every year.

Student LAB
Das Student Lab ist eine offene Werkstatt, die allen Studierenden ermöglichen soll, an eigenen Projekten zu arbeiten. Egal, ob du an einer eigenen Heimautomatisierung werkelst, ein Regal zimmern oder eine Donald Duck Action Figur 3D drucken möchtest, hier findest du einen Platz, an dem du deine Ideen umsetzen und weiterentwickeln kannst. Hierbei stehen dir die Mentoren des Labs mit Rat (und manchmal auch mit Tat) zur Seite.
Für die Projekte verfügt das Student Lab über eine gut ausgestattete Elektronikwerkstatt und eine Reihe an Werkzeugen. Angefangen beim ordinären Schraubenzieher bis hin zu großen oder teuren Geräten, die nicht jeder bei sich daheim stehen hat.
Einige Beispiele sind:
- 3D Drucker - Ultimaker 2+ und Ultimaker 3
- 3D Scanner um eigene Modelle aus realen Gegenständen zu erstellen
- CNC Fräse zur Holzbearbeitung
- Handfräse für Metall
- Dremel
- Lötplätze mit Kleinmaterial wie Lötzinn, Litzen und Standardbauteilen
- Labornetzteile, Trenn-/Regeltrafo, Elektronische Last
- Multimeter / AC+DC Stromzangen
- Oszilloskope
- Signalgeneratoren
- Spektrumanalysator
- Werkzeug (Kreuz-, Schlitz-, Torx-Schraubendreher, Zangen, usw...)
- Elektromaschinen (Standbohrmaschine, Akkuschrauber, Exzenterschleifer, Sägen, usw.)
- Laborkabel mit Prüfspitzen und Krokodilklemmen
- Restekisten (Platinen, Kabel, Bauelemente, Motoren)
