For all those who are now starting their Master's program at the University of Ulm, we offer a separate Master's ESE ("ErstSemesterEinführung" -> first-semester welcoming program) . The Master-ESE targets the study programs Informatics, Media Informatics, Software Engineering, Cognitive Systems and Artificial Intelligence. It doesn't matter if you did your Bachelor's degree in Ulm, if you already know your way around Ulm or if you are just getting to know the city for the first time. We have planned a diverse program to make it easy for everyone to get started with their Master's.

During the ESE, we will explain the study and examination regulations of the master, as well as helping you to get oriented at the university, what courses are available to you and which institutes are responsible for what. However, a good portion of university life is meeting new people and having fun which the ESE will also help you kickstart. During the ESE there will be a considerable amount of time spent simply getting to know your fellow students, including a walk at the univerity's surroundings, a barbecue and a pub crawl.

For organizing the ESE, a moodle course was created for you. There you can find the detailed time schedule as well as recent information.

Moodle is the university's central learing platform and you're going to need it for many courses. As first semester, you will be added to the ESE course automatically and you can see it after login. For the login, you need your kiz-Account, which you receive with your immatriculation.
